DevOps Engineer - Ryker Services

Ryker Services are looking for DevOps Engineers to work with one of our top leading edge software clients with some of the newest database technologies to deploy solutions that benefit millions of users use every day.

A strong background in Application design and development, Systems administration, Database administration, Data architecture and design, Performance tuning and benchmarking Experience engaging with developers and programming experience in at least two of the following languages- Java/.NET/C/C++/Node.js Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with x86 operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OS), networking and storage architectures Familiarity with NoSQL databases or other distributed high-performance systems round out the position.

What you will be doing:

Assisting teams with Query / Index Tuning and Optimization
Reviewing / Designing Data Models
Linux / Server Administration
No-SQL database Administration / Installation / Configuration
Log Analysis
Monitoring clusters through Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk
Writing Prometheus Rules/Alerts for proactive incident response
Interpreting metrics and making recommendations to the teams
Troubleshooting Incidents, Working with Couchbase Support to resolve issues
As part of the onboarding process, you will be sent through our Clients extensive Enablement program.

What we are looking for:
5+ Years with Relational and /or No-SQL Database, such as Mongo, Couchbase, DynamoDB and DataStax/Cassandra to name a few.
Strong developer knowledge in some of the following languages: Java/.NET/C/C++/Node.js.
Knowledge / Certifications on cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure a plus.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to present technical solutions concisely.
Education
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in software and/or a technologically or relevant field.
Communication
Strong English skills as this will have a high interaction with Clients based in US and Canada
